It was another great day for Balbriggan Community College students at the North Leinster Athletic championships in Santry yesterday.
First up was Jake Morrell, who on his first attempt at the javelin , came in second in the junior boys . He now goes forward to the Leinsters later on this month.
Later in the day Yinka Adedokun sailed through the heats of the junior boys 100m and then took the silver in a closely fought race. He also managed to secure a bronze in the junior boys high jump too. Great hopes for this student in the Leinsters.
Finally the medals were topped up with a super bronze from Kian Smith in a very tough event, the boys intermediate 400 m.
We had some excellent performances from the students today with a few 4th places too. With more practice, hopefully these will turn to medals on the next occasion. Well done to all.
