Our school participated in College Awareness week (24th – 28th November). A number of events were held throughout the week. This included a careers seminar in the Bracken Court hotel for second and third years. A wide variety of careers were showcased – Solicitor, Computer programmer, aviation and vet etc. Career talks were also held in the school for other year groups. This week was part of CFES (College for Every Student) imitative running in the school in conjunction with Trinity College Dublin. Students were involved in mentoring programme with TCD and a career investigation task. The school was transformed with motivational and aspirational quotes, teachers’ experiences of college and career case studies. Student’s also created their own motivational wall. Teachers also promoted careers from their subject areas.
