It is with a profound, collective sadness that Balbriggan Community College marks the passing of our much loved staff member, Eileen Guildea. After a short illness, Eileen passed away on Sunday 23rd January 2022.
Eileen was an extremely popular member of our school community, who was a Balbriggan woman through and through. Her loving connection to the town and its people always shone brightly in her stories and conversations with staff.
Eileen’s smile and laugh filled the school’s corridors every day. Whether dealing with students or colleagues, Eileen always carried herself with grace and always had a kind word to say and a positive comment to share.
Our school was a better place with Eileen in it, our staff were all the better for having known her.
The corridors will be quieter in her absence, the town a lesser place without her.
Our deepest condolences to Eileen’s family and friends.
We will remember Eileen fondly, and with love.
