The Transition Year Enterprise group participated in the Enterprise in Action programme organised by Junior Achievement Ireland which encourages students to examine the role of an entrepreneur in today’s society. Students reviewed entrepreneurship and acknowledged the importance of developing entrepreneurial skills for future roles, as well as the value of ‘intrapreneurship’ and social entrepreneurship in today’s economy and society. Students worked with tangible examples of entrepreneurship such as product ideation and venture creation which enabled students to practice skills and acquire knowledge.
The students were presented with Certificates of Achievement from Junior Achievement Ireland. They were very proud of their hard work. Thank you to Ms. Ward for encouraging entrepreneurial spirit in our school.
