Last week the Transition Year students had a visit from our Sky Sports Athlete Mentor Carla Rowe. Carla plays on the Dublin Senior Ladies Gaelic team.
As part of this leadership project the Transition Years are organising a sports day for 2nd years. This will take place in the coming weeks. During the day Carla worked with the Transition Years to help them develop the skills they will use for this project. To start the day they got a presentation about Carla’s successful career to date and she then went through the 6 keys to success, which can be applied across all paths of life. In the afternoon they worked in groups to develop their team work, leadership and communication skills.
A great day was had by all. Thank you to Carla and the Sky Sports Living for Sport Programme for coming out to our school.
