Jam Making in Home Economics

Miss Purcell’s  LCA 2 class were busy making products suitable for a Farmers’ Market. There were a range of products such as Raspberry Jam, Blackberry Jam, Tomato Chutney, Malteaser Ice cream and many more. All products looked very professional and were delicious to taste. Well done to all the LCA’s.  

BCC Basketball New Kit

BCC basketball would like to thank Noel Heeney Sportswear for generously sponsoring our new basketball kit. The new kit marks a happy and successful return of basketball to the school after a 7 year absence. Love is in the Air in the Home Economics Department

Miss Purcell’s 1st Year Home Economics  Students were busy making hand-made delicious Oreo Chocolate Truffles for Valentines Day. Each student created their own chocolates, then decorated and packaged them for their Special Valentine!  

TY Photography Update

TY students have been studying a diverse range of subjects in BCC this year. The photography course is run in conjunction with media studies. Both TY classes are studying photography and media studies for this academic year. The students have been using their compact cameras and also learning to use manual settings on a DSLR....

DDLETB Photography Competition Winner

A massive congratulations to Jack Whelan (3rd Year) who was the overall winner in the DDLETB photography competition which took place in the Rua Red Arts Centre in Tallaght.
